Meeznah: Relished the trip at Goodwood
Meeznah regained the winning thread in the I-Shares Fillies Stakes at Glorious Goodwood to give Frankie Dettori a double on the card.
David Lanigan's filly relished the mile-and-three-quarter trip as Dettori sent her to win the race approaching the final two furlongs having enjoyed a smooth run through to that point.
She took up the running from Motrice and readily stretched clear right to the line and scored with plenty in hand by two-and-a-half lengths.
French raider Shankardeh stayed on to take second with Motrice in third as favourite Wild Coco never seemed like posing a serious threat.
Lanigan said: "She's an incredibly lazy work-horse and very hard to get fit.
"If anything, she's got worse from three to four.
"She would have hated the ground last time at Newmarket but she ran very well and I thought she would come on for it.
"She really likes quick ground and I think the Park Hill at Doncaster would be perfect for her."
