Henry Candy's Amour Propre won the Group Three Market Slide Flying Five Stakes at the Curragh.

Amour Propre became the fourth well-backed winner of the afternoon to oblige when running out a comfortable one and three quarter length winner from Sole Power.

Dane O'Neill broke well aboard the five year old gelding and was soon contestign the early pace on the outside of Roicead and Sole Power who raced against the rail.

When O'Neill quickened for home, they were unable to match strides with the Paris House gelding who ran on well despite holding his head a little awkwardly.

Bryan Smart's Move In Time finished a never nearer fourth in a race dominated from the front.

O'Neill said: "I thought the pace was generous enough, we got a nice tow into the race and he quickened well.

"We've bumped into some good sprinters along the way and it's a great bit of training from Mr Candy as he had his problems and it's great to get a race like this for him.

"We were hopeful today we could land this and go on to bigger things."
