Sirius Prospect (12-1) took the Universal Recycling Handicap under Jim Crowley at Doncaster.

The only three-year-old in the field proved to be much too good for his rivals and eventually won by one-and-three-quarter lengths from Lutine Bell (11-1).

Fathsta was a never-nearer third at 6-1.

Crowley said: "He can take a tug in a race but is learning to settle and drop in. He quickened up nicely today."

Winning trainer Dean Ivory added: "I'm over the moon. He's a lovely horse to train.

"He was a three-year-old taking on the older horses and while missing the break may have helped him, he had to make all that ground up and has done it nicely.

"This race has been the plan for some time. I ran him too quick at Newmarket, that was my fault, and we've given him more time and got him more relaxed.

"The track suited him, so did the ground and the six-and-a-half furlong trip."
