Tim Easterby's Roger Sez (14-1) won the Laundry Cottage Stud Firth Of Clyde Stakes at Ayr on Saturday.

Fitted in first-time blinkers, the Red Clubs filly proved much too good for her rivals in the Group Three contest, eventually winning by four lengths from 9-4 favourite Miss Work Of Art.

Mary Fildes was third at 6-1.

Easterby said after the Group Three success: "Blinkers have done the trick, she is very, very lazy - in fact I think she is the laziest filly I have ever had.

"When she ran at York, I didn't think she handled the soft ground, but she did today.

"We will have to look for something else now, as she is in good form. But it's a pity, I don't think we have got her in the Redcar Two Year Old Trophy."

Eddie Ahern was suspended for three days (October 1, 3 and 4) for failing to weigh in on sixth-placed Besito.

Ahern said: "I heard the gentleman say first six weigh in, but with so many runners today it was on my mind to quickly get sorted for the Gold Cup and I walked straight in."
