So Young put himself in the World Hurdle frame with an impressive victory in the Paul Carberry Autobiography Best Seller Hurdle at Punchestown.

Willie Mullins' French import won his first two starts on Irish soil last term but was beaten when sent off favourite for Grade Ones at Cheltenham and Punchestown in the spring.

There was plenty of confidence behind the five-year-old on this comeback and the 2-5 favourite barely came out of first gear to beat Fully Funded by 11 lengths.

Paddy Power make So Young 12-1 for the World Hurdle at Cheltenham next March, while William Hill offer 16-1 for the staying prize and 33-1 for the Champion Hurdle.

Mullins said: "I'm very pleased with that. The trip was no problem to him. "We will see how he comes out of this now with a view to the Hatton's Grace (at Fairyhouse on December 4).

"Really I'd rather give him a longer break after his first run back and the three-mile race at Christmas (Leopardstown) is favourite for his next run.

"I'll be gearing him toward the bigger Festivals in the spring time."
