Kid Cassidy had no problem with getting off the mark over fences at the second attempt, when landing the Clive Pavilion Beginners' Chase at Ludlow.

Nicky Henderson's charge (2-5 fav) had fallen at Lingfield on his chase debut when well clear, and wasn't foot perfect here.

However the favourite had far too much class for his four rivals and in the hands of Barry Geraghty he came home in splendid isolation.

Donald McCain's Silver Gypsy (100-30), ridden by Jason Maguire, took the forecast spot.
