Coquet advertised her Investec Oaks claims in winning the Height Of Fashion Stakes at Goodwood.

The Hughie Morrison-trained filly narrowly prevailed in the Listed race over a trip just shy of 10 furlongs, beating Minidress by a neck.

Partnered by Rab Havlin, who has already tasted Classic success this season having won the Derby Italiano on Sunday, the daughter of Sir Percy was taking her unbeaten run to three.

She stepped up on a promising debut to open her account at Wolverhampton in October before winning a Listed race at Newmarket later in the same month before her triumphant reappearance on the Downs.

Two Strings

Morrison already has one potential candidate for the Epsom Classic with Shirocco Star, second in a trial at Newbury recently, already pencilled in.

"I'm very pleased. She might not have the most ability but she's certainly the toughest," said Morrison.

"She was headed but the dream is still alive.

"She won't have to do much between now and then and we'll see what Robert has to say. That will bring her on an awful lot.

"Rab will ride her and I'd imagine Darryll (Holland) will probably ride Shirocco Star, but I'd need to talk to the owners."

Sky Bet cut the winner to 20-1 from 33s for the Investec Oaks.
