Sir Prancealot swooped late to win the Polypipe Flying Childers Stakes at Doncaster under Johnny Murtagh.

For much of the five furlong contest Bungleinthejungle (9-1) looked set to make all and he still led at the furlong pole.

However the complexion of the race was to soon change as the 7-4 favourite quickened up in smart style to score by half-a-length.

Sound Of Guns (13-2) was close-up in third.

"He deserved it. We've taken on Reckless Abandon twice. he ran well at Ascot (in the Coventry) and he beat the rest of them in the (Prix) Morny but just got tired going to the line," said the winning trainer's son and assistant, Richard Hannon jnr.

"The natural thing was to come back to five, but he will get six and he's in the Middle Park so we're going to give him a go in that. You know for sure he'll run his race.

"He's very consistent, he's got a great attitude and an awful lot of ability. I think he will be better over six.

"We came back to five to win a Group race. Now we've done that we can go up to six for the Middle Park. The timing is perfect and he'll run a big race.

"He might get seven one day, but his future for now remains at six."
