Mouse Morris: Delighted with Baily Green
Dylan Ross fell on his debut over fences as Baily Green extended his winning run to five races in the Kilbegnet EBF Novice Chase at Roscommon.
The Noel Meade-trained Dylan Ross was the 5-4 favourite for the Grade Three affair over two miles after showing great promise over hurdles last season.
Paul Carberry's mount made a mistake three out, however, before dumping his rider on to the ground at the next fence.
Baily Green, by contrast, jumped precisely at the head of affairs and was never once troubled in the hands of David Casey.
The Mouse Morris-trained six-year-old (2-1) eased a distance clear of House Rules to continue his outstanding run of form.
Morris said: "I didn't think it would be straightforward with the fences omitted, but he was good.
"He is a serious leaper and he is very, very quick. He is a good ground horse and he done well to win. He will probably get a rest now and he has the makings of a fair horse."
