Biographer bounced back to form with victory in the Keltbray Noel Murless Stakes at Ascot on Friday.

The Montjeu colt had finished second in the Melrose Handicap at York on his last start and with the winner going on to race in the St. Leger at Doncaster, the punters poured on at the morning prices to send him off as a 3/1 favourite.

Signed Up and Good Morning Star led them for the majority of the contest at a steady pace given the inclement weather and the race was to begin in earnest as they reached the turn in.

Kieren Fallon attempted to deliver the prolfic Sir Graham Wade from just in behind the leaders with a couple of furlongs to travel, Ted Durcan brought his horse slightly wide of the action and he picked up readily to score by a length-and-three-quarters.

Sir Graham Wade just getting the better of Cavaleiro on the bob of the heads for second place.
