Just The Judge ran out an impressive winner of the Group Two Vision.ae Rockfel Stakes at Newmarket.

The Charles Hills' trained youngster had impressed on debut at Newbury before following up over the same course and distance in the prestigious Listed Washington Singer Stakes.

The Lawman filly was lining up in the silks of Qatar Racing Limited for the first time and made the perfect start for her new owners when running out a ready length and a quarter winner under Michael Hills in the seven furlong contest.

The well-backed Nargys, beaten in a Doncaster nursery last time, met plenty of trouble in behind and when Kieren Fallon eventually extricated her from a pocket, she fairly flew home to finish a length clear of Desert Blossom.

Hills appears to have a genuine Classic contender on his hands in the unbeaten Just The Judge who provided the young handler with one of the biggest victories of his fledgling career.

Charlie Hills said: "I think she's won that like a nice filly. "She got there soon enough, but she kept on going when she hit the rising ground.

"We'll put her away now and go for the Guineas.

"There's been a few headaches because she'd completely gone in her coat and had a bad scope after her last run.

"We did think about not running at all, but we decided it was worth one more go."

Michael Hills said: "I think she's very good.

"She's maturing and she's developing - she'll make a lovely three-year-old.

"I've won this race three times and two of them have won the Guineas.

"I'd put her right up there with them."
