Benefficient strolled to victory in the Frank Ward Solicitors Arkle Novice Chase at Leopardstown after mistakes by his two rivals.

Arvika Ligeonnaire was sent off the 8/13 favourite and he was going well out in front when falling at the fourth from home (usually five out but a fence was omitted) and then Oscars Well made a bad mistake at the last when under pressure.
Benefficient sauntered by his weary rival over the final obstacle and was pushed out by Bryan Cooper for an easy success.
Sky Bet reacted by pushing Arvika Ligeonnaire out to 8/1 for the Arkle Trophy at Cheltenham with Oscars Well shunted out to 25/1 and Benefficient cut to that price.
