There was notable support for Marco Botti's four year old and his supporters had to endure an anxious wait for the result of the photo-finish to be announced.

Martin Harley was forced to race a little wide on the track from his wide draw but had his mount settled close to the pace in the first half of the field.

Hayley Turner kicked Kenny Powers into a clear advantage and it appeared as though she had stolen the Listed race from her rivals with a canny ride.

Solar Deity had to challenge between horses in the straight and was struggling to pick up the leader but gradually clawed back the advantage to put his head in front on the line with Verse Of Love back in third.
