Hunter's Light: Scored for Saeed bin Suroor
Hunter's Light became Godolphin's 200th Group One winner in the Al Maktoum Challenge R3 Sponsored By Emirates Airline at Meydan as he led home a one-two-three for trainer Saeed bin Suroor.
There was fierce competition for the lead in the ten furlong contest with runners five wide as the leaders passed the post for the first time.
Daddy Long Legs and Christophe Soumillon won the battle for the lead as the field began to turn out onto the far side with Kieren Fallon and Little Mike settled in second.
Fallon got a dream run up the inside of Daddy Long Legs as the field began to turn for home but he was only momentarily in front as Japanese runner Trailblazer passed him in the straight.
They proved vulnerable to the closers, however, as Prince Bishop launched his challenge against the rail but it was the Silvestre de Sousa ridden winner who proved by far the strongest down the centre of the track.
The five-year-old won with something to spare from his William Buick ridden stablemate Kassiano with Prince Bishop - also trained by bin Suroor - in third.
Godolphin soon made it 201 as Sajjhaa, under Buick. took the Jebel Hatta from The Apache with City Style third.
