Ladies Are Forever (10-1) followed up a recent course success when powering to another Listed win in the Blue Square Bet Hever Sprint Stakes.

Willy Twiston-Davies had the Geoff Oldroyd-trained mare handily-placed as Timeless Call burst out from her rail draw to make the running in the five-furlong dash, with Bear Behind close up.

Third on the turn for home, Ladies Are Forever found a neat turn of foot to forge ahead and win by two and a quarter lengths from Timeless Call.

"She's just warming up to the job now," said Oldroyd of his formerly very smart two-year-old.

"I said this would be her year. She's stronger and everything has worked out right today.

"She's a good to firm ground filly and she loves that Polytrack surface at Lingfield. It's going to be hard to place her on turf with the weather.

"Hopefully she will get it mid-season. We were after that Group Three again at York (in July) that Reg (Bond, owner) sponsors that she won last year, but after today we may even go higher as well.

"You have to think seriously about five at Royal Ascot, but she wants fast ground. We'll have a good look where we go next."
