Kaldoun Kingdom - winner at York.
Richard Fahey may have started the day with York's top trainer title already in the bag, but that did not stop him adding to his tally with Kaldoun Kingdom landing the feature Coral Sprint Trophy.
The Musley Bank handler had saddled 11 winners on the Knavesmire this term, three more than nearest rival Saeed bin Suroor, who had just the one runner, giving Fahey an unassailable lead.
Kaldoun Kingdom showed no signs of easing up on the pace, though, and benefited from a well-judged Barry McHugh ride to power home at odds of 6-1.
Unleashed down the centre of the track, Kaldoun Kingdom found plenty in the closing stages to account for Cheveton by a length and three-quarters.
Fahey said: "He's been running on fast ground all year and he loves York.
"He's a fair little horse with a bit of juice in the ground.
"He's been running blinders on fast ground but he needs juice in the ground and six furlongs.
"He's getting a bit colty so I'm going to have him gelded.
"It's brilliant for the owner (Phil Smith). He's local and loves having winners at the course."
Fahey has enjoyed a sterling season, massively exceeding last year's total of 113 winners.
He added: It's just unbelievable. We can't believe how well it's gone.
"I think that's 155 winners for the season, including 65 winners in Yorkshire.
"When we started off this year you're always hoping to beat your score of last season.
"The horses that did well for us last year have been doing it for us again this time - and long may it continue."
