Holywell: Scrambled home at Doncaster

Odds-on favourite Holywell (10/11) received the full AP McCoy treatment when winning the Betdaq No Premium Charge Novices' Chase in a thrilling finish at Doncaster.

Holywell received a reminder from the 18-time champion jockey with a circuit to go and was the first of the market leaders to come under serious pressure.

Despite some ponderous leaps last season's Pertemps Final winner wore down Victor Hewgo (5/2) close home under an all-out drive to eventually succeed by three-quarters-of-a-length.

He remains unchanged with Sky Bet for the National Hunt Chase (14/1) and the RSA Chase (33/1) at the Cheltenham Festival, and the seven-year-old also holds an entry for the Ladbrokes World Hurdle (33/1).

The entries for the handicaps at the Festival are unveiled on Thursday.

"I think he finds chasing hard as he's not very big," McCoy said of the winner.

"He might not be as good over fences and could be a horse that goes back hurdling at some stage."

O'Neill said: "I don't know where he'll go know (at Cheltenham). He's in the four-miler, the three-mile handicap, the RSA and the Word Hurdle.

"We'll just wait and see and leave all his options open and it's up to us to pick the right one."
