        Verdict

An open contest here in which Cyd Charisse gets the vote ahead of Wogan, Otarie and Swampy Blue. The selection may get overlooked slightly here as he doesn't come from one of the more powerful or fashionable stables. He has kept his form well this season (bar unseating his jockey at the first last time out), and with the ground to suit, he can run a big race at a nice price. Wogan also parted company with his jockey last time, but Nicky Henderson's charge reverts to hurdles today and whilst he may be well-treated, it may be that this is more of a confidence booster. Swampy Blue represents a very shrewd outfit, and the step up in trip should not a problem for a horse that score on his last jaunt across the Irish Sea. Seize needs a check in the betting, whilst King's Rock and Shrewd Investor both have plenty to prove today in terms of jumping. Otarie comes here chasing the hat-trick, and Alan King's gelding must be afforded utmost respect although a mark of 115 makes life tougher. At a price Our Jim could go well, however for the winner we will return to Cyd Charisse.
