Verdict

BALLINVARRIG has cost supporters plenty in his last two starts but has been a little unlucky. Though raised 4lb since beaten a nose by Native Robin at Wincanton, it's difficult to imagine that he won't be in the firing-line again here. Shimla Dawn was back to his best on good going at Haydock in March and rates a threat while Skylander has been waiting for better ground and races off the same mark as when runner-up to the useful Junction Fourteen at Uttoxeter in October. Morning Reggie is better than he showed at Newbury last month while there is probably more to come from Midnight Monty. Ashcott Boy is preferred to Monkey Kingdom of the others.
