Verdict

Donagh Meyler claims 3lb off Paper Lantern, impressive at Fairyhouse 12 days ago. Over this longer trip, Ibis Du Rheu may well reverse Cheltenham running with Rocklander. Wakanda won the Skybet Chase at Doncaster before being pulled up at Cheltenham but Oldgrangewood, On Tour and the returning Hammersly Lake are probably better over shorter trips and this is nearly always run at a good gallop. THOMAS PATRICK’s jumping has improved with experience and he’s turning into a useful stayer. He seems to get on particularly well with Richard Johnson and he might just outstay his rivals if able to lay up with the pace. Holly Bush Henry and Bells Of Ailsworth look the pick of the remainder.
