In depth

Verdict

Rabbit can register another victory, with Blue Splash, Cooldine Lad, Windy Hills and Greenfort Brave others to consider. Matt Sheppard has had a real little money spinner in the shape of Rabbit who has been placed to win three times this year already. The mare has gone up nearly two-stone in the weights as a result, but this longer trip can work in her favour, and as long as the going does not turn any softer than it is already, she can bounce back after her Worcester defeat. Blue Splash hails from a stable that has been firing in the winners this term, and will be all the better for his return to the fray, a comment that also applies to Cooldine Lad. A maiden point winner in Ireland, he gets weight all round, but that may not be enough to see him get closely involved. Windy Hills in contrast has topweight to overcome on his return, while Greenfort Brave generally goes well on his visits over from Ireland but is a shade high in the weights at present. With fitness on her side, Rabbit is the one to beat.
