Verdict

Burrows Park’s run at Fontwell last time was too bad to be true. He’d been placed behind useful novices at Plumpton and Bangor earlier and a race like this should be within his capabilities. But Nicky Henderson saddled the winner of this two years ago and has a chance of repeating that feat with TALES OF THE TWEED. Preferred to stablemate Take To Heart, who his making his hurdling debut, the Robin Des Champs gelding will have learnt plenty from his run in a decent maiden here in December. Clondaw Cracker was odds-on when pulled up at Wetherby in October so should be capable of better, as should Gibbes Bay. Three Star General was a maiden on the Flat in Ireland but can make his mark over jumps once he’s gained experience.
