Verdict

All The Good is likely to be a warm order here but is hard to get away from. The consistent Candle and Record Breaker could be the ones to chase him home. The Godolphin owned runner made a more than satisfactory return to action in a race over course and distance that was billed as an Ebor Trial. He's quite well fancied for that contest and should be capable of taking this prize en route to a tilt at that race. He only gave way close home last month when a lack of race fitness told and he can show the benefit of that outing here. Candle operates at her best with a little bit of cut in the ground so any rain would certainly be in her favour. She's closely matched with Profit's Reality on their running at Newmarket last month but Paul Blockley's runner did enjoy the run of the race on that occasion. Record Breaker was below par at Goodwood over fourteen furlongs but did run well for a long way, has run well here in the past and could conceivably bounce back from a below par display. The enigmatic Formax could figure but seems to save his best for Goodwood whilst Polish Power is another that has to put a poor run behind him. Few come into this race in peak form and it all looks good for All The Good.
