Verdict

The Group 1 Irish St Leger winner ORDER OF ST GEORGE enjoyed a facile success over 1m6f at Leopardstown on his reappearance. Versatile as regards the ground, clear of the opposition on these terms and trained by Aidan O’Brien, the ante-post favourite is clearly the one to beat. The Sagaro Stakes winner here for the last two years, Mizzou will be hoping to improve on last year’s effort in this when not beaten far in seventh. But he’ll need to reverse later running in the Lonsdale Cup over 2m at York with Max Dynamite. Willie Mullins’ charge also beat Clever Cookie on that occasion though found Pallasator and Suegioo too good on his reappearance at Sandown with Burmese last of four. Clever Cookie arrives on the back of beating Curbyourenthusiasm in the Yorkshire Cup while Flying Officer finished just behind Mizzou in this year’s Sagaro. Scotland ran well without threatening in last season’s renewal and French raider Mille Et Mille won the Group 1 Prix Du Cadran over today’s trip at Longchamp in October when Kicky Blue and Fun Mac filled the places. He’s preferred to compatriot Tiberian while Wasir represents one of Germany’s leading yards and beat The Twisler over 2m last month though was behind Sheikhzayedroad over 1m6f at Meydan back in March. Griraz is a prolific winner of lower grade races over shorter trips in France and has joined David Pipe..
