    Verdict

A fascinating renewal in which last years US Group 1 winner, Debussy, will earn a minimum of £28,000 plus for carrying out pacemaking duties for Rewilding. The latter prevailed in a magnificent battle with So You Think at the Royal meeting and is clearly thriving. He is closely matched with WORKFORCE on that formline but Sir Michael Stoute's Derby and Arc winner looks sure to be suited by returning to this trip at which he has delivered the aforementioned successes. He did disappoint here last year but that has been the only negative on an otherwise outstanding record and he can get the job done. St Nicholas Abbey has been beautifully coaxed back to form by Aidan O'Brien but the level of his Coronation Cup success still leaves him with something to find with the selection. It's good to see a quality three-year-old on show as used to be the case and this will tell us just how good the highly progressive Nathaniel is.
