Verdict

Curragh-based handler Johnny Feane is a very smart placer of his horses and has two entered at this fixture. The veteran Six Silver Lane has gained six of his 11 career victories under his care and he's been running very well at Dundalk all winter. With a course victory to his credit he has to be respected, a remark that also applies to Stoneboat Bill who ran his best race for some time at Leicester late last month. STRUMMER reverted to Turf after a spell on the all-weather with a fine effort behind the in-form Bit Of A Quirke at Beverley, just failing to match the finishing burst of the winner up the hill with Arithmetic back in fifth. Kevin Ryan's charge has never won on Turf but this looks a good opportunity. Remember Rocky hasn't won since 2014 but most of last year's runs were on unsuitable soft ground.
