In depth

Verdict

Tizzy May, Dark Charm and Daring Affair are sure to be popular with punters here, but we will side with Tizzy May as our idea of the winner. This 7-year-old recorded his last win at this track over 1m1f. This extra furlong should play to his strengths today and as this is the first time that he has had his ideal ground for a while, it should pay to get on. Dark Charm has the ability to get competitive here but he is far from reliable and we are happy to oppose him. Daring Affair has trip and ground to suit but the suspicion is that she is better on the all-weather. Prince Noel ran well last time but he has more on his plate today and he would probably prefer a bit more give underfoot. All of which returns us to Tizzy May as the selection.
