Verdict

COMRADE CONRAD never looked like catching Malaya at Ascot last time but the Nicholls’ filly is a smart performer and the better ground here should suit Dan Skelton’s four-year-old, who won on a quicker surface on the level, and he has a chance if staying the extra. Cool Mix usually attracts market support and is better than he showed at Newcastle a coupe of months ago while a case can be made for top weight Secrete Stream. Quest For Life deserves a change of luck but doesn’t look particularly well treated compared to the likes of Big Robin and The Road Home. Ballyvic Boru may be best of the rest with Contented needing to bounce back from a woeful effort at Wincanton in January.
