Verdict

A race little better than plating class and KIRKSIDE PLEASURE rates as only the most token of selections against Pakineo Des Pictons and Seeking Straight. Kirkside Pleasure's record is not that of troubling the judge with much frequency but Sue Bradburne normally does well with her runners at this track and with the heavy going obtaining; he has at least shown an aptitude in the past for it. The question is now as to whether the recent absence from the track is a help or a hindrance. Pakineo des Pictons burst onto the scene with a victory in a heavy ground bumper at Hexham. Supporters have endured lean times since but the combination of Graham Lee and Ferdy Murphy always catches the eye. Seeking Straight is another infrequent winner though enters calculation on previous form on the going. He has a nice racing weight under the circumstances. Soul Angel is likely to be the subject of support given that he accounted for Polobury here on his most recent outing. Tiger Moss and Royal Flynn have ability though are inconsistent in the extreme. Kempski and Kid'z'Play have been campaigned in much better company than this in the past though make little appeal nowadays. The biggest field of the day though by no means the biggest certainty on the card and it is Kirkside Pleasure that gets the most token of votes.
