A decent handicap over seven furlongs and the vote goes to ESPERO ahead of Northern Fling and Celtic Sultan. There won't be much between the selection and Northern Fling but Amanda Perratt's son of Celtic Swing just gets the short head verdict. The selection is commonly known as an all-weather horse especially around Wolverhampton but he has showed on numerous occasions he goes well on turf. Espero travelled really well on debut before fading at the two-furlong pole. He obviously needed that run and can be expected to mount a serious challenge today. There won't be much between the Perratt horse and Northern Fling on a line of form through Ezdeyaad. It's interesting Kieren Fallon comes way up north to ride at Ayr for Jim Goldie. Goldie's horse has been quite regressive in recent years, he once raced off 109 and is now down to 75. His latest run was a sign of him coming back to form so a strong market check is advised. Celtic Sultan will enjoy the step up in trip after staying on well over six some 25 days ago. It's interesting Tom Tate reaches for first-time blinkers - if they have there desired effect he could take some catching round here. She's In The Money and My Gacho are others to note.
