Verdict

Real Diamond and Chookie Avon have both run well in recent starts over seven furlongs at Catterick and have claims but look likely to again have to settle for minor honours in a race taken to go to KLYNCH. Ruth Carr's gelding deserves to get his head in front having been knocking on the door in recent outings, latterly when a close fourth behind Tislaam at Pontefract, and he can reward backers. Emeralds Spirit has been running well over further of late and has claims but may not appreciate the drop in trip. Jim Goldie's pair, Mr Lu and Geojimali are capable but are hard to back on recent form and a safer option looks to be Klynch.
