Verdict

Linda Perratt runs three but Sabratha was engaged to run here yesterday and Retreat Content was some way off his best at Hamilton last time. Royal Straight makes most appeal of the trio but is 11lb higher than October's win at Musselburgh while Botham is preferred to his stablemate Another Joe but fast ground is a worry for him. There was little between VENTURA SANDS and Fieldgunner Kirkup when third and fourth respectively at Beverley last time, but the former is a C&D winner and an apprentice's 5lb claim should ensure he comes out best of that pair once again - he gets the nod.
