In depth

Verdict

Mcswynes Bay always produces his best form on fast going and would have been placed at Sligo last time but for falling at the last. FAIRWOOD BOB returned to action after a long break to score over 2m1f at Clonmel. He has no problems with today's trip and can follow up though Amy's Song, who was just touched off by Royal Blood over 3m at Limerick, looks a major threat. Liam Kenny's mare looks certain to get involved here along with Shake The Bottle, who is 6lbs higher after a surprise victory over Premier Hero at Limerick. Speedy Max is hardly the most consistent of performers but is clearly useful on his day as he showed when scoring on fast ground at Downpatrick last time.
