Verdict

Tetraites could only stay on at one pace in the Ladies Derby at the Curragh on Saturday but could have found the going a bit quick. Hudson's Bay has looked as though he needed a stiffer test of stamina on his last two starts while the classy chaser Foildubh has never run under Flat rules in his long career though he has won a bumper, as has CILLIAN'S RETURN. Tony Martin's charge was beaten a nose over a mile at Gowran in May and started odds-on for a similar race to this over the course and distance last month but couldn't quite get to Theos Well, who has won easily over hurdles subsequently. Compensation awaits here as French Approach was very disappointing at Roscommon last time.
