Record Breaker has had plenty of chances and it's no surprise that Jason Maguire prefers stablemate Amron Lad, who is on an upward curve and had no problem justifying short odds over this trip at Haydock on his latest start. Diminutive Ffos Las winner Tell Me Y was never travelling under a penalty at Chepstow next time, however, and may struggle again while Noble Perk will probably find at least a couple too good again. Howard's Legacy came good at Hereford but that race was run in a time 40 seconds slower than standard and the quality of the opposition there was questionable. LAVEROQUE was only beaten five lengths by Champion hurdler Rock On Ruby in a Listed bumper at Cheltenham in 2010 and clearly needed the run and experience when fourth on his hurdling debut at Kempton.
