Coach Lane has seemingly struggled against the handicapper since winning at Uttoxeter at the beginning of last month and may be best watched in a race taken to go to KILKENNY ALL STAR, who is preferred to Seeyaaj. Lucinda Russell's gelding showed improved form when running out the good winner of a Perth handicap last month and he has solid claims racing off a 6lb higher mark today. Don McCain's Jim Tango ran better at Kelso last time but probably needs some help from the handicapper and of more interest may be Tony Carroll's Chicago Alley, who has not been out of the first two home in his last four starts but does now have a career high mark to defy. The vote then goes the way of Sue Smith's Kilkenny All Star, who has shown gradual improvement in recent outings, finding The Kealshore Kid just a head too good last time and he can go one better today despite having to race off a 3lb higher mark.
