In depth

Verdict

Mick Easterby's Wee Forbees faces no easy task in giving weight away all round in this handicap chase and a better bet looks to be MORENITO, who is preferred to Ruby Isabel. Tim Vaughan's mare showed much improved form when winning comfortably at Towcester last month and she has every chance of following up that success but she has to race off a 10lb higher mark today and that rise in the weights may prevent her from scoring again. Janal ran better at Sedgefield last time but is 5lbs out of the weights proper so faces no easy task and of more interest may be Sarah Humphrey's Pipers Legend, who is better than he showed at Fakenham on his most recent start. Kim Bailey's Thenameescapesme seems a shade high in the weights at present and preference is for Tom George's Morenito, who looks to be going the right way judged by his recent effort at Southwell when chasing home Lord Gunnerslake and he can go one better off just a 2lb higher mark today.
