    Verdict

Trinity Rose has some fair form in the book but she may struggle to concede weight all-round so preference is for Villochely whose form looks solid; the maiden Alecia could be a surprising danger. The selection has had two starts over hurdles, and she has shown ability on each. Her recent run behind the useful yardstick of The Snail looks fair form in the context of this race and with Tony McCoy in the saddle for the first time; she may be worth siding with. Alecia is yet to win in 13 starts all told but she has run well in two of her three outings over the sticks and with the ground in her favour (likes it quick), she should go well, although whether she quite has the stamina for this trip is open to debate. Trinity Rose won a weak race well two starts back at Cartmel. She was then well-held at Newton Abbot when a very disappointing odds-on shot and she has something to prove now. Nakoma is consistent but inevitably finds at least one too good, and whilst Delays Expected could be capable of better, we will side with Villochely as the selection.
