Verdict

Recent C&D winner Jackson Cage sets a decent standard in this finale but is set to concede 7lb to SIR CHARLIE HUTCH, who was very green on his debut at Catterick but still managed to make the frame and will know more today. The latter's stablemate Blue Blooded dropped away tamely at Doncaster last month but Fontwell third Jimmy The Hat appears to be improving with experience and General Melchett, from the same yard, was a fair third on his racecourse debut over 1m6f at Warwick.
