Jonny Mudball doesn't stand much racing and has had another break since finishing well beaten in a Group 3 at Newmarket in May, though does go well fresh. Regal Parade isn't the force of old while Oasis Dancer has a mountain to climb at the weights and Sugar Beet may also find this company too hot. Ballesteros has to go on the short-list, however, despite racing for the first time since early June. He likes soft ground and has already won at Chester and Sandown this season. Rex Imperator has been running well in some tough handicaps but may just struggle to give 3lb to NIGHT CARNATION, who ran Van Ellis to a neck in a Listed contest at Chester last time and generally competes at a much higher level than this.
