Verdict

Never Can Tell has won twice over 1m6f but disappointed on her first attempt over 2m at Chester last August. She has a better chance of lasting home as she strengthens with age and is likely to make her usual bold bid from the front here. Baddam is not the force of old on the Flat nowadays and though 5lb lower than when fifth in this race last year, he may find SABORIDO too good. A C&D winner in September, he made a pleasing comeback over a shorter trip at Windsor recently and looks set to strike here.
