    Verdict

CANAVERAL was still a little green on his latest start over C&D but it didn't stop him winning as he drew nicely away from the rest of the field in the closing stages. There should be more to come as he gains experience and he can defy a 5lb rise and follow-up. Tenby Lady will have come on for her recent return at Haydock and should figure, but Misk Khitaam has yet to show any real improvement this season. Standout keeps threatening to lose his maiden tag without actually doing so and expensive purchase Black Pond is simply frustrating.
