Verdict

Many of these are out of form and easy to discard whereas APOLLO D'NEGRO, thrice a winner in his three-year-old campaign, only went down by half a length when third to Italian Tom in a competitive Ascot sprint handicap last month. He is up 4lb for that effort but it was a good run that suggested another decent season for the Clive Cox inmate. Crew Cut probably needed his comeback run last month and should be spot-on now. He looks a major contender off an unchanged mark under the talented Raul Da Silva who does well for this yard. Style And Panache is threatening to strike form any time and is entitled to serious consideration for the Evans team.
