Verdict

CHARLOTTE'S DAY was only beaten a length by subsequent nursery winner Hala Hala at Ayr last month and looks to have been crying out for this longer trip. She sets a very decent standard and can get off the mark against less-exposed types like Dullingham, very green when seventh on debut at Sandown, and Goodwood sixth Act Of Charity. Newcomers to watch out for include Nos Galan, a half-brother to winning hurdler Jolly Roger and looking the best of Richard Hannon's pair, and Spark Plug, another Dylan Thomas offspring who is a half-brother to two Flat winners.
