Best to go with the in-form sprinter here, COMPTONSPIRIT, in a contest featuring predominantly out-of-form sorts. Brian Baugh's 9-y-o mare always controlled matters when a comfortable course and distance scorer last time and can defy a 6lb penalty. Her previous second here to the progressive Cara Gina also reads well. Dreams Of Glory looks the likeliest threat, having scored here in April and a fair third last time behind Crimson Queen over Newbury's 5f. Even Bolder was winning for the first time in over three years when obliging at Brighton on his penultimate start but this looks tougher whilst Volito was better last time and is a possible place option. Wooden King would be a main contender at his best but the 8-y-o's enthusiasm seems to have gone missing for the time being.
