    Verdict

Having done us a favour seven days ago, Rationale is selected again, with his biggest dangers reckoned to be Kuster and Fort Churchill. Quite simply, Rationale looks an upwardly-mobile performer in the hands of a capable trainer. He has quickly rattled up two wins and looks to be ahead of the handicapper. Kuster has won this race before and, with the same connections have landed this race last year, he can go well. Our Teddy comes here in cracking good form and is respected, while Thyolo has gone well for today's rider in the past and has to be given some thought. Fort Churchill is another in-form runner that has a capable pilot booked, so gets a good mention, while Mister Right is edging back towards a winning mark and can't be ruled out. Augustine is another that is on a reasonable mark, while Sporting Gesture has dropped to a very good mark if getting to the best of last season's form. Ollie George is another upwardly-mobile runner that cannot be ruled out and Laggan Bay's good Newmarket run following a long absence augured well for his future prospects. For today, though, we will side with Rationale.
