      Verdict

Jenny Soba is the obvious starting point after winning in a decent time on Wednesday, but she had the benefit of a talented rider that day and a 6lb penalty makes life much tougher so she can be taken on. We do so with LAURA LAND, a horse spoken relatively highly of by her trainer Mark Brisbourne. Efforts so far on the track suggest she must be keeping something to herself, but this is arguably her easiest task to date and she arrives on the back of a fair third at Southwell. It may be that she needs Fibresand to show her best but we'll take a chance as this looks weak. Filun is consistent without looking well-treated, Il Portico showed a little more promise last time but essentially looks slow and in need of a thorough test while Carlton Scroop looks out of love with the game and is taken on despite an attractive handicap mark. Lough Beg is tumbling down the weights and needs a market check while Jasmeno and Garafena are others who could run well in a tricky puzzle.
