Verdict

EXCELLENT THOUGHT is the call in this maiden with Memorandum and Robens Rock as the dangers. The daughter of Exceed and Excel drops back to the minimum trip having not quite got six furlongs last time out and if she can reproduce her Windsor effort; it will take a decent type to see her off. Memorandum does have the benefit of experience around this circuit. She was not without promise on debut. Robens Rock is eligible for handicaps and while expensive at the sales; has simply not lived up to expectations. Tom Dascombe's yard had a gamble on a similar type on Monday so watch the market in relation to Clifton Encore. Youcanalwaysdream is a full sister to Shirazi. Related to 1,000 Guineas winners, she has to start somewhere though this engagement seems a surprise. Dusty Spirit will be the benchmark that the assessor will be using for handicapping purposes. Excellent Thought may not be open to much more in the way of progression but she could be good enough to score today.
