FARLEIGH MAC went up 6lb for winning at Windsor and hasn't quite been able to hold on over 6f in later starts. He's surprisingly gone down 1lb and his young rider's claim can enable him to return to winning ways. Love Oasis also went up the same amount for last month's victory at Leicester and she's been narrowly beaten in her last two starts from slightly lower marks. Sayesse has been competing at a higher level and is 4lb lower than when beaten in a three-way photo at Chester in May but Big Lachie has been well beaten in his three starts this year and has been gelded. Secret Potion won a maiden here in August but hasn't shown much subsequently.

Farleigh Mac 2-1fav (9-6) Chased leaders, closed over 4f out, led over 2f out, headed over 1f out, rallied inside final 100 yards, just held, 2nd of 9, hd behind Bahamian Dollar (9-12) at Chepstow 6f hcp (4) gd in Jul.
Big Lachie 6-1 (9-6) Steadied start, held up in last pair, pushed along and outpaced halfway, plugged on late, never a factor, last of 5, 5 1/2l behind Blitz (9-7) at Windsor 5f hcp (4) sft in Jun.
