In depth

Verdict

Azure Mist would not be winning out of turn were she to be successful here having been placed in each of her last four starts but the Mark Tompkins-trained filly prefer more cut in the ground and a better bet looks to be JOLLYHOCKEYSTICKS, who gets the vote over Nikolaievich. The last mentioned has struggled since winning a claimer at Leicester in May but has slipped to an attractive mark so Paul Cole's gelding has to be considered. Stable companion Bauhaus Bourbon has been given a real chance by the handicapper having been dropped 5lbs since her most recent start and she does have the assistance of the very capable David Probert. Marcus Tregoning has his team in great form at present but his runner Cinerama has yet to even be placed in her five starts so she looks best left out of calculations and preference is for Jollyhockeysticks. Mick Channon's filly has run well on the Polytrack on her last two starts, should not be inconvenienced by the return to turf and she seems to still be on a fair mark.
